Odric Aurelian Gaspers (Klavier)

Der 2005 geborene Odric Aurelian Gaspers begann im Alter von fünf Jahren mit dem Klavierspiel. Im Alter von neun Jahren wurde Odric Jungstudent des Julius-Stern-Instituts der Universität der Künste Berlin und wirkte bei der Übergabe und Einweihung des 50. Bechstein-Klaviers an die Kurt-Tucholsky-Grundschule der Carl Bechstein Stiftung mit. Es folgten mehrere erste Preise bei Jugend musiziert, beim Henle-Klavierwettbewerb und ein zweiter Preis beim Kleinen Schumann Wettbewerb in Zwickau. Beim Internationalen Schumann Klavierwettbewerb in Düsseldorf erhielt Odric einen dritten Preis, ebenso beim Internationalen Carl Maria von Weber Wettbewerb.
2015 gab es im Rahmen des Bach Marathons einen gemeinsamen Auftritt mit Iván Fischer, dem damaligen Musikdirektors und Chefdirigenten des Konzerthauses Berlin. Nur drei Jahre später fand Odrics erstes Orchesterdebüt im selben Haus statt. 2019 spielte Odric beim „Fest für Clara Schumann“ zum 200. Geburtstag und trat im WDR-Radioprogramm „Funkhauskonzert“ auf. 2023 spielte Odric auf dem Schumann-Fest in Düsseldorf. Seit vielen Jahren ist Odric zudem ehrenamtlich tätig. Er spielt regelmäßig in Hospizen, auf Demenzstationen und im Utopia Orchester, einem inklusiven Musikprojekt von Menschen mit und ohne Behinderung. Odric besuchte das Musikgymnasium Carl Philipp Emanuel Bach. Von 2020 bis 2023 war er Stipendiat der Carl Bechstein Stiftung. Seit dem Wintersemester 2024/25 studiert er mit Hauptfach Klavier an der Hochschule für Musik Hanns Eisler Berlin bei Professor Konrad Maria Engel.

Born in 2005, Odric Aurelian Gaspers began playing the piano at just five years old. At the age of nine, he became young student at the Julius Stern Institute of the University of Arts Berlin and was involved in the delivery and inauguration of the 50th Bechstein piano to the Kurt Tucholsky Elementary School of the Carl Bechstein foundation. Several first prizes at “Jugend musiziert”, the Henle Piano Competition and a second prize at the small Schuman Competition in Zwickau followed. At the International Schuman Piano Competition in Düsseldorf, as well as the International Carl Maria von Weber Competition, Odric achieved the third prize. In 2015, as part of the Bach Marathon, Odric had a joint performance with Iván Fischer, the then Music Director and Chief Conductor of the Konzerthaus Berlin. Just three years later, he made his orchestral debut at the same venue. In 2019, Odric performed at the "Fest für Clara Schumann" for her 200th birthday and appeared on the WDR Radio program "Funkhauskonzert." In 2023, Odric played at the Schumann Festival in Düsseldorf. For many years, he has also been involved in voluntary work. He regularly performs in hospices, on dementia wards, and with the Utopia Orchestra, an inclusive music project that brings together people with and without disabilities. Odric attended the Carl Philipp Emanuel Bach Music High School. From 2020 to 2023, he was a scholarship holder of the Carl Bechstein Foundation. Since the winter semester of 2024/25, he has been studying piano as his main subject at the Hanns Eisler School of Music in Berlin with Professor Konrad Maria Engel.
